Our Animal Rescue Farm. Sometimes I wonder who rescued who.

Where It Began

It all started when my husband and I decided to move out to the country for a quiet simpler life. HaHa. I rescued Lucky, the quarter horse because I wanted a nice trail horse to ride and I thought it would be a better idea to Rescue than buy a horse. But then it turned out he had so much PTSD and trauma in his past life that he did not make a safe trail horse, and became more of a giant but beloved pet. The actual animal rescue kind of happened accidentally.

How it went

I never really planned on having a rescue farm. The two goats Mary, Kate and Ashley came after Lucky, and then came Ruby the pig, who turned out to be pregnant and had six babies! We found homes for three of them but we still have her three sons, which are neutered. We then got a couple more goats that outgrew a petting zoo and two sheep. The two mini horses came to us because their owner died of cancer, and they needed a home. Word got out that I have a big heart and a big property and people just started coming to me with more animals in need of care. For now, we are at maximum capacity.
